Meet the Veterinary Staff of Leslie Animal Clinic in Alamogordo, NM
June, Veterinary Nurse
June has been with the Leslie Animal Clinic family the longest. She started in September 1995. She has been an animal lover all her life. Born and raised in Alamogordo, everybody in town knows and loves June. Her smile and vibrant personality make you feel like family the minute you meet her.
June is the proud mother of a horse, 2 English bulldogs, a Chiweenie and her FAVORITE Kitty "Sunshine". June really enjoys being a mom, hanging out with her girls, and SHOPPING.
Cathy, Practice Manager
Cathy has been with Leslie Animal Clinic since October 2003. Her family’s military career and her own personal military service took her all over the world, but eventually led her back home to Alamogordo. A new husky pup led her to Leslie Animal Clinic with resume in hand. She left the clinic with a vaccinated pup and a new job. An associate’s degree in computer science comes in handy every now and then, but the patients don’t seem to care about her degree!
Cathy is currently raising her special goat named Norman, her blind husky "Dakota", and her heeler "Dooley". When spare time allows, she enjoys fishing and gardening.
Courtney, Veterinary Nurse
Courtney has been with Leslie Animal Clinic since May 2011, coming to us from the West Texas town of Tulia. As a child, her parent's horse arena peaked her love for horses and her interest in veterinary medicine. After attending Wayland Baptist University for a few years, Courtney was anxious to get some hands-on experience. Her best friend living in Alamogordo talked her into moving and Leslie Animal Clinic was lucky enough to grab this "Big-Hearted Texan". Courtney is now qualified to perform Abdominal Ultrasounds. Her latest addition: a Schnorkie named "Kaia" is keeping Courtney very busy these days.
Kristina, Veterinary Nurse
Kristina's start as a temporary employee during a family emergency has turned out to become full time employment with Leslie Animal Clinic since October 2011. Kristina received her Bachelors in Radiographic Technology and is now qualified to perform Abdominal Ultrasounds. She has decided to stay close to family and now utilizes her skills with the "4-legged furry kind." Kristina enjoys hiking, concerts and hanging out with friends. Kristina has finally found the BEST hiking buddy ever...a rescued Husky named "Shilo".
Deidra, Veterinary Nurse
Deidra came to be a part of Leslie Animal Clinic in October 2013. When the Dental Laboratory she worked at downsized, her employer came into the clinic and HIGHLY recommended we grab this "Energetic, Go-Getting, Pet-Lover." Deidra's focus is on our furry felines. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, jewelry making, and playing with her 2 dogs, 4 cats and 2 turtles.
Tiana, Veterinary Nurse
Tiana has been a part of Leslie Animal Clinic since April 2014. Her love of animals and desire for knowledge in the field has prompted her to start the Veterinary Technician program thru San Juan College. Tiana's passion in the field includes obedience issues and anything to do with the Shar-pei's, as she owns 2 of them. A single mother, there's not much time left at the end of the day, but when it allows she enjoys camping with her 8 Kiddos...4-2 legged and 4-4 legged.
